JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 14-11-2022 The case of the petitioner in brief is that he had filed an application for grant of arms license in the year 2014, however, the same had stood dismissed by an order dated 07.09.2017, passed by the District Magistrate, Patna, whereupon an appeal was filed by the petitioner bearing Arms Appeal no. 183 of 2018, before the learned court of Divisional Commissioner, Patna and by an order dated 07.12.2018/ 09.01.2019, the case of the petitioner was remanded back to the District Magistrate, Patna for fresh consideration. However, it is the complaint of the petitioner that till date, the District

Patna High Court CWJC No.10613 of 2020(2) dt.14-11-2022 2/2 Magistrate, Patna has not taken any final decision in the matter. Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner, I deem it fit and appropriate to direct the District Magistrate, Patna to consider the case of the petitioner within the four corners of the order dated 07.12.2018/ 09.01.2019, passed by the learned Divisional Commissioner, Patna, remanding the case of the petitioner back to the District Magistrate, Patna and take a final decision in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks of receipt/ production of a copy of this order, by passing a speaking and a reasoned order with regard to the pending case of the petitioner for grant of arms license.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
