2. The present writ petition has been filed directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground as the mother of the petitioner died in harness and the petitioner has submitted his application for consideration of his appointment on compassionate ground but till date no decision has been taken.

3. Learned counsel for the Patna Municipal Corporation submits that he is in contact with the officials of the Municipal Corporation who has assured him to examine the case of the petitioner and will take a decision in accordance with

Patna High Court CWJC No.6329 of 2018(3) dt.16-07-2024 2/2 law within a period of eight weeks.

4. In that view of the matter, this Court feels that keeping this petition pending shall not serve the purpose.

5. As such, this writ petition is disposed off with a direction to the petitioner that he shall file his representation within fifteen days before the authority concerned and authority upon receiving the representation shall decide the case of the petitioner within eight weeks from the date of production of this order.

6. With the above direction, the present writ petition is disposed off.
