The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "(i) To pay due amount of arrear of difference of salary as per recommendation of 6th and 7th pay revision commission report with interest at the rate of 18% per annum accepted by the government with monetary benefits w.e.f. 01.01.2007 and 01.04.2017 respectively.
(ii) To pay due amount of difference of salary as per promotion in ACP/MACP with interest.
(iii) To grant any other relief or
2/4 reliefs for which the petitioner is entitle."
3. Vide order dated 15.04.2026 while adjourning the matter for 13.05.2026, it was recorded that : "3. Learned counsel for the State is directed to file reply to the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the University wherein, it has been stated that vide letter no. BUD-390/25 dated 18.08.2025 issued under the signature of finance officer, MU Bodh Gaya, addressed to the In-Charge Officer, pay verification cell, Department of Education, Government of Bihar, Patna whereby the arrears of the petitioner for the period June 2000 to March 2017, to the tune of Rs. 1,25,497/- was sent for verification.
4. Let the matter be listed after three weeks enabling the counsel appearing on behalf of the State to response to the counter affidavit filed by the Magadh University. If the counter affidavit will not be filed within the aforementioned period and the pay verification cell will not respond to the letter dated 18.08.2025 of the MU, sent by the Finance Officer, a cost of Rs. 5000/- will have to be deposited in Patna High Court, Legal Services Committee."
4. When the matter was taken up on 13.05.2026, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submitted that the soft copy of the counter affidavit has been uploaded on the
3/4 website. After going through the hard copy, provided by the learned counsel for the State, the matter was adjourned for 12.00 P.M., enabling the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University to verify from the Registrar of the University that by what time payment will be made to the petitioner.
5. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University on the instruction from the Registrar of the University submitted that the payments will be made by 14.05.2026.

Today, when the matter has been called out, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the College provided the photo-copy of the cheques dated 15.05.2026 of the Central Bank of India issued under the signature of the Bursar, Nalanda Mahila College, Biharsharif, Nalanda and Principal, Nalanda Mahila College, Biharsharif, Nalanda with a request to the Branch Manager of the Central Bank of India to credit in the bank account of the petitioner bearing Account No. 1485506302 through Cheque No. 145516 dated 15.05.2026 to the tune of Rs. 36155/- and through Cheque No. 145515 dated 15.05.2026 to the tune of Rs. 89342/-.
7. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that both the amounts covers arrears of salary, for which the
4/4 petitioner was entitled.
8. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the College submits that the said cheques have been sent to the Branch Manager, Central Bank of India, Biharsharif, Nalanda and the same will be credited in the bank account of the petitioner during course of the day.
9. Having considered the said aspects and after going through the documents provided by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court finds that the relief sought for in the writ petition has been granted to the petitioner and accordingly, the present writ petition has become infructuous.
10. It is expected that the cheques which has been sent to the bank will be credited in the bank account of the petitioner during course of the day. The documents provided by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the College, are kept on record.
11. The writ petition is accordingly, disposed of as having become infructuous.
