The petitioner is in custody in connection with Riga P.S. Case No. 221 of 2017 for the offences under Sections 420, 406, 409 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 10.04.2019. He further submits that in the instant case the main accused the Chairman of PACS has already been granted bail. He further submits that entire amount i.e. the price of the rice has been deposited and as such petitioner deserve bail.
