Dr Anand Kumar, AC to AAG III ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 11-10-2022 This writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of the order of punishment contained in Memo No 1197 dated 05.07.2017 whereby and whereunder the Superintendent of Police, Gopalganj has awarded the punishment of one black mark to the petitioner.

The learned State Counsel, referring to averments made in paragraph 18 of the counter affidavit, submits that the impugned order has already been set aside by the Police Headquarters by Letter No 70/350377 dated 25.01.2018.

It is apparent that copy of the counter affidavit has been served on the petitioner's counsel on 11.07.2018 itself. However, there is none to represent the petitioner. Therefore, without going into the merits of the submission advanced on behalf of the State, writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
