The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Udakishunganj P.S. Case No.18 of 2020, registered for the offence punishable under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner and other co-accused persons are said to have snatched a bag from the informant containing cash of Rs.72,750/-.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. It is submitted that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail application. It is further submitted that one co-accused person was apprehended at the spot who disclosed the name of the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36822 of 2022(2) dt.29-09-2022 2/2 petitioner. It is submitted that the apprehended accused was in inimical terms with the petitioner, therefore, he took the name of this petitioner.

Learned APP for the State opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the nature of offence, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
