JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 28-09-2022 Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the Respondents to grant arms license to the petitioner, however, since the application for grant of arms license was filed on 2.2.2013, whereafter the amended / new Arms Rules, 2016 have come into force, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to file a fresh application for grant of arms license before the District Magistrate, East Champaran at

Patna High Court CWJC No.10762 of 2020(2) dt.28-09-2022 2/2 Motihari. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate application is filed for grant of arms license in the proper format as per the Arms Rules, 2016, within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law, and a final decision shall be taken thereon by the District Magistrate, East Champaran at Motihari, within a period of twelve weeks, thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
