Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections307, 498(A), 506 and other allied sections of Indian Penal Code.

As per FIR, these petitioners along with other accused persons have harassed and tortured the informant due to nonfulfillment of dowry demand. Petitioner No. 1 is father-in-law and petitioner No. 2 is mother-in-law of the informant. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. It is submitted that these petitioners are victims of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36567 of 2022(2) dt.09-11-2022 2/2 over-implication and there is no allegation of demand of dowry as such. Petitioners have got clean antecedent. Learned counsel for the informant vehemently opposes the bail application submitting that petitioners have harassed and tortured the informant due to non-fulfillment of dowry demand.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioners in the event of their arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran in Balthar P. S. Case No. 163 of 2021, subject to condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) navya/- U T
