"a) For issuance of an appropriate writ/order/ direction commanding the respondent board to issue fresh admit card, mark sheet, and certificate of the son of the petitioner for Class 10th with correct date of birth.

b) For issuance of an appropriate writ/order/direction commanding the respondents to forthwith compensate the petitioner and his son for the unnecessary harassment of the both at the instance of the respondent.

c) For issuance of such other relief the petitioner would be found entitled to, on the facts and in the circumstances of the case."

Short question for consideration in the present petition is relating to rectification of date of birth of the petitioner's son, Syed Anzar Hasan.

It is evident that date of birth of the petitioner's son is 30th December, 2003 whereas in the C.B.S.E. records, it is shown as 30th December, 2004. C.B.S.E. has followed the documents furnished by the third respondent School authority.

Learned counsel for the C.B.S.E. submitted on instruction that if the School authority provides original documents in respect of date of birth of the petitioner's son that date of birth is 30th December, 2003, the same would be looked into and rectified. Today, none appears for the third respondent School. The third respondent is hereby directed to co-operate in furnishing original documents of the petitioner's son to the C.B.S.E. within a period of two weeks from today so as to rectify the corrections, if any in respect of the date of birth of the petitioner's son. On receipt of the material information from the third respondent School, the first respondent C.B.S.E. is hereby directed to look into the material information and proceed to pass appropriate corrections in favour of the petitioner's son if there were error in any documents. If there is no error in the relevant documents, necessary endorsement be issued that his son is not entitled to correction of date of birth.
