JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 22-03-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The petitioner is in custody in connection with K. Nagar P.S. Case No. 363 of 2019 registered for the offences under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner is husband of the deceased who died within seven years of marriage. It is alleged that the occurrence took place in the background of nonfulfillment of dowry demand. In this case, case diary was called for.

Considering the materials available in the case

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35933 of 2020(3) dt.22-03-2021 2/2 diary, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail stands rejected. However, the Court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest, preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. If the trial is not concluded within the specified period of time, the petitioner may approach this Court to renew his prayer for bail.

With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands rejected.
