JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL ORDER 02-02-2017 Heard Mr. Sanjay Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Vinay Kirti Singh, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. and its authorities.

The petitioner prays for appropriate direction to the respondents for issuance of a corrected bill intimating outstanding against the petitioner and for reconnection of his electricity line. Learned counsel for the petitioner has invited attention of this Court to the order passed by the Consumer Grievance Cell at Khagaria to submit that the Grievance Cell after taking note of the fact had directed the petitioner to produce evidence of deposit of

Patna High Court CWJC No.23 of 2017 (2) dt.02-02-2017 Rs.20,000/- against the arrears as well as any other evidence of deposit and whereupon the Electricity Company was directed to issue revised bill but neither the revised bill is being issued nor connection is being restored and the petitioner is forced to come before this Court. He submits that there is absolutely no dispute on payment and the petitioner is ready for the same provided he is intimated of the present outstanding.

In the nature of the grievance raised herein, I would direct the petitioner to appear before the Executive Engineer, Electricity Supply Division, Khagaria (respondent no.3) on Monday i.e. 6.2.2017 at 11:00 AM and when he shall consider the grievance of the petitioner as noted hereinabove ensure issuance of rectified bill and no sooner the petitioner makes payment of the same, that his electricity line is restored within 24 hours thereafter.
