In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Case No. 130c3Ex/2020 registered for offence punishable under section 30 (A) of the Bihar Prohibition & Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

The police has recovered 284.730 litres of liquor from a house and the petitioner was arrested at the spot. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is son-in-law of that family from where the liquor has been recovered. The petitioner had gone there on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The accused persons fled away from there and the petitioner was caught and he is in custody since 02.08.2020.

No.34054 of 2020(2) dt.06-01-2021 2/2 Looking to the facts and circumstance of the case, the petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of 3rd Additional Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (Excise), Nalanda at Bihar Sharif in connection with Case No. 130c3Ex/2020, subject to the condition that one of the bailors of the petitioner shall be a close relative. The petitioner will not induce any witness or tamper with the evidence. The petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court.
