JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 02-03-2022 It is stated by Mr. P.K. Verma, learned Additional Advocate General No. 3 representing the opposite parties that this Court's order dated 13.02.2015, passed in CWJC No. 3883 of 1998 has been complied with, inasmuch as, the petitioners have been granted promotion in terms of the said order with seniority as per the merit-list.

Considering the above, in the Court's opinion, no case is made out of deliberate disobedience of this Court's order requiring action against the opposite parties under the Contempt

Patna High Court MJC No.579 of 2018(9) dt.02-03-2022 2/2 of Courts Act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have not been given benefits consequential to grant of promotion in the light of this Court's order. The petitioners shall be at liberty to approach the authorities if, according to them, they have not been given benefits arising out of grant of promotion. The petitioners shall also be at liberty to raise their grievance before appropriate forum in accordance with law in the said regard. The contempt proceeding stands dropped.
