Petitioners apprehend arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 379/498A/34 and other ancillary sections of the Indian Penal Code.

It is a case of torture and harassment for dowry. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioner no.1 is mother-in-law of the victim, petitioner no.2 is second wife of husband of the victim and petitioner no. 3 and 4 are father and mother of petitioner no.2. Allegation of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36561 of 2023(2) dt.07-07-2023 2/2 torture and harassment is general and omnibus and no overt act has been alleged against them. They are separate in mess and business.

Considering the aforesaid facts of the case, prayer for bail of all the petitioners is allowed. In the event of arrest/surrender within six weeks from today, let these petitioners, mentioned above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purnea in Jankinagar Police Station Case No. 44 of 2023, subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
