JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL ORDER 01-02-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that his application for grant of arms licence was rejected by the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority vide order dated 23.09.2009 which was assailed by filing Appeal No.137/2010 before the Commissioner, Patna Division. The appeal was heard along with several appeals and vide a common order dated 17.01.2012 as contained in Annexure-3, the appeals were allowed and the matters were remitted back to the respective licensing authorities for fresh consideration, however, since then, his matter is pending till date.
Having regard to the aforementioned facts and
Patna High Court CWJC No.2025 of 2016 (2) dt.01-02-2016 2/2 circumstances, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate-cum-Licensing Authority, Bhojpur at Ara to take a final decision on its own merit and in accordance with law in this matter expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
