The petitioner is in judicial custody in connection with Shikarpur P.S. Case No. 167 of 2020 registered under Sections 341, 323, 324, 307, 354, 302 and 504/34 of the Indian Penal Code lodged on 15.04.2020 by the informant, Phulsohewan Khatoon.

As per the prosecution story, the allegation is that Bundeli Pal @ Bundeli Prasad Pal, father of the petitioner came with cow dung and kept it on the doors of the informant and upon protest allegation is that he raised alarm whereafter the petitioner and others came and this petitioner gave 'iron rod' blow on the head causing head injury which ultimately proved fatal.

No.36674 of 2023(4) dt.05-09-2023 2/2 In view of the fact that specific allegation that has come against the petitioner of giving head injury which led to the death of the victim, this Court is not inclined to extend him the privilege of bail which is accordingly rejected. Considering the fact that he is in custody since 22.03.2023, the trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same preferable within a period of one year.
