JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 16-08-2022 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "(I) To quash the order dated 11.10.2017 (Annexure-4) passed by the District Collector, Madhepura and communicated to the petitioner vide memo no. 806 dated 11.10.2017 whereby and where under the learned District Collector, Madhepura has rejected the application filed by the petitioner for transfer of stamp Vendor Licence of his father Late Mahendra Prasad Gupta on the name of the petitioner on compassionate ground. (II) For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant

Patna High Court CWJC No.9317 of 2018(3) dt.16-08-2022 2/2 licence for Stamp Vendor to the petitioner."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to approach the District Collector, Madhepura for reconsideration of his case in light of the order dated 20.07.2012 passed by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in CWJC No. 17725 of 2010. Liberty so sought is granted.

It is needless to state that the District Collector, Madhepura shall reconsider the issue in question i.e. with regard to transfer of licence of the deceased father of the petitioner in the name of the petitioner inasmuch as his application for transfer was pending since the year 2003 itself, i.e. when the amendment had not come into being and shall pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks of filing of appropriate representation by the petitioner, annexing a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of.
