The respondent Bihar State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the 'Corporation') has filed a counter affidavit in which after admitting that the petitioner has deposited an extra amount of Rs. 88,814/- against the CMR and Rs. 4,202/-, the total amount being Rs. 93,016/-, the respondent Corporation has prayed for some time to pay the admitted dues to the petitioner after receiving the authorization. In the aforesaid view of the matter, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the Managing Director of the Corporation to ensure that the admitted amount be paid to the petitioner within two weeks

Patna High Court CWJC No.12654 of 2019(4) dt.03-09-2019 2/2 from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. In this connection whatever is required to be done on the part of the District Manager, Munger and the District Manager, Jamui or the Account Officer, Jamui shall be done within the aforesaid period.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Corporation has kept the extra amount with it for a long time and therefore, a reasonable interest be also allowed on the same.

Since the petitioner has been compelled to move this Court for getting the admitted amount, this Court leaves open for the petitioner to make an appropriate representation before the Corporation for a reasonable interest over the admitted amount and if such a representation is made, the same shall be disposed of within four weeks from the date of filing of such representation.

This writ application stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations and directions.
