2. This contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 17.01.2018 passed in CWJC No. 4353 of 2017, wherein, a direction was issued to the respondents

Patna High Court MJC No.2021 of 2019(2) dt.02-04-2025 2/3 to consider the claim of the petitioner for grant of recognition and/or affiliation in accordance with the circular dated 18.10.1976, in the light of the earlier decision of this Court in the case of Saraswati Vilas Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (supra).

3. The opposite party Nos. 1 to 5 and 6 to 9 have filed show cause.

4. In the show cause filed by opposite party Nos. 1 to 5, in paragraph No. 6, it has been stated as under:- "6. That in compliance of order dated 17.01.2018 passed by this Hon'ble Court in CWJC No. 4353 of 2017, the matter has been considered afresh by the Education Department in view of resolution no. 2291 dated 18.10.1976 and accordingly, the proposal of the University regarding grant of affiliation has been rejected by the State Government vide order as contained in letter no. 2476 dated 31.10.2019 as the petitioner college does not fulfill the criteria as enumerated in resolution no. 2291 dated 18.10.1976."

5. A copy of the order as contained in letter no. 2476 dated 31.10.2019, passed in terms of the above, whereby, the proposal of the University regarding grant of affiliation has been rejected by the State Government has also been enclosed as Annexure - A in the show cause.

6. On perusal of paragraph No. 6 of the show cause filed by the opposite party Nos. 1 to 5 as well as Annexure - A enclosed in the show cause, I find that the order dated 17.01.2018 passed in CWJC No. 4353 of 2017 has been complied with by the opposite parties.

7. In view of the above, the contempt petition stands closed and disposed of.
