The present writ application has been filed for payment of difference of salary from 30.04.1993 to 06.03.2016, while the petitioner was posted as Reader/Associate Professor in the Department of Political Sciecne at R.M.W. College, Nawada and also for payment of interest at the rate of 12 per cent per annum on the accrued arrears. The petitioner superannuated from the service in June, 2019.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that on 24.07.2015, the petitioner gave an application along with required document to Teacher pay Verification Cell, Department of Education, Patna, Bihar but till date neither the pay of the petitioner has been verified by the Verification Cell nor the difference of salary has been paid by the University.

4. Learned counsel for the State submits that some documents were demanded by the Pay Verification Cell from the University.

5. Learned counsel for the University submits that the required documents have already been sent to the Pay Verification Cell.

In view of the stand taken by the respondents, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the Authorized Officer (Verification Cell), Education Department, Patna, Bihar (respondent no.5) to verify the scale of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order before him and send it to the University and the University, after receiving the same, will calculate all the legal dues of the petitioner within two weeks and pay it to him.

7. It is made clear that this Court may take serious view of the matter against the officer concerned if this order is not complied within the stipulated period as aforesaid.
