The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, 396 litres of IMFL was recovered from the parcel office of the Hajipur Railway Station. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the FIR was registered against unknown. The name of the petitioner transpired in course of investigation as the 'bilty' was in the name of accused Amandip and the said Amandip in his confessional statement made before police took the name of the petitioner that he was also involved in the trade of liquor. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and is in custody since

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 9 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Sonepur (Hajipur) Rail P.S. Case no. 35 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge II-cum-Excise Court, Vaishali at Hajipur.
