JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 30-08-2022 Though the present petition has been filed for quashing the order dated 07.04.2017 passed in Jamabandi Cancellation Case No. 1 of 2012-13 and 35 of 2013-14, by the Additional Collector, Supaul by which the Jamabandis in question of the petitioners pertaining to Khata No. 263, 92, Khesra No. 7578, 2079 and 2082, Mauza-Latauna, Anchal-

Patna High Court CWJC No.9520 of 2018(3) dt.30-08-2022 2/2 Triveniganj, have been cancelled and the respondents are taking steps to demolish the houses of the petitioners but the learned counsel for the respondent-State has filed a counter affidavit and apprised this Court that the petitioners have filed appeal against the said order dated 07.04.2017, bearing Appeal No. 4 of 2017, which is still pending, however, the respondents are not taking any coercive steps against the petitioners during the pendency of the said appeal.

In such view of the matter, the present writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the appellate authority to dispose of the aforesaid appeal bearing Appeal No. 4 of 2017, expeditiously. However, it is directed that till the disposal of the said appeal, status quo existing as on today qua the land/houses of the petitioners in question, shall be maintained.
