The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Gopalganj (Town) P.S. Case No. 985 of 2022 instituted for the offences under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

As per prosecution case, the accusation against the accused persons including the petitioner is of snatching and taking away Rs. 1500/- and a mobile of the Informant. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence as alleged against him and has falsely been implicated in the present case due to dirty local politics. The petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. and name of the petitioner has surfaced in this case on the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.44593 of 2024(2) dt.28-06-2024 2/2 basis of confessional statement of co-accused, namely, Javed Alam and one Arvind Kumar Ram. The petitioner has no concern with the alleged occurrence. The petitioner has altogether three criminal antecedents and is languishing in judicial custody since 22.11.2023 without any rhymes or reason. Charge-sheet has been submitted in this case. Other co-accused has been granted bail by this Court vide order dated 08-05-2024, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 973 of 2024.

On the other hand, learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner. 6.

Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case, claim based on parity and the nature of offence as also taking into account the period of custody of the petitioner, let the petitioner, abovenamed, be released on bail, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Court below/concerned Court in connection with Gopalganj (Town) P.S. Case No. 985 of 2022.
