2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest for the offences alleged under Sections 420 and 120 IPC and Sections 13(2) read with Section 12(i) D of the Prevention of Corruption Act registered in connection with Special Case No. 32/1997, arising out of Vigilance Case No. 28 of 1997.
3. It is submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated merely because he happens to be running a line hotel on G.T. Road at Dobhi. No incriminating articles have been recovered from him, or his house or from his line hotel. The petitioner is aged about 70 years, who claims clean antecedents.
4. Learned counsel for the Vigilance Department appears and opposes the anticipatory bail petition submitting that the petitioner is a part of a large racket being in collusion with other line hotel owners and illegally extracting money from truck drivers in an organised manner.
4. Having regard to the nature of accusations and
