The petitioner is in custody in connection with Excise Case No. 17 of 2015 for the offences punishable under Section 47(A) of the Excise Act.

The allegation against the petitioner is of recovery of 7.740 litres of foreign liquor and 40 litres of country made liquor with no paper to support the possession.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has a clean antecedent and is in custody since 8.9.2015. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the nature of allegation as well as the period of custody, let the petitioner namely, Maheshwar Sahu be released on

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.50376 of 2015 (2) dt.10-11-2015 2/2 bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Rosera, Samastipur in connection with Excise Case No.17 of 2015.
