1. The Writ petition is filed commanding the respondents to release the family pension of the petitioner, due to death of his mother, namely, late Ramdana Devi on 07.09.2015.

The father of the petitioner, Late Ramavtar Paswan, superannuated on 31.01.2002 from the office of the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Samastipur. The father of the petitioner had two wives, Ramdana Devi and Madena

Patna High Court CWJC No.12618 of 2018 dt.04-07-2025 2/3 Devi and he died on 31.05.2012. The mother of the petitioner, namely, Ramdana Devi, received family pension vide P.P.O. No. 356871 through pension account no. 32985317817 of State Bank of India, Branch Mangalgarh, Samastipur. The petitioner's mother died on 09.09.2015. It is the specific contention that she had nominated the petitioner, as nominee in the said pension account. The petitioner approached the Chief Manager, State Bank of India, Mangalgarh Branch for disbursal of the pension amount in account of his deceased mother who died on 09.09.2015. He also made a representation before the 6th respondent, but his grievances were not redressed for which he is constrained to approach this Court.

3. Heard the Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the Learned counsel for the respondents.

4. The respondents are the bank authorities of State Bank of India. Annexure-3 is the representation made by the petitioner before the bank authorities, which is still pending. It is purely a

Patna High Court CWJC No.12618 of 2018 dt.04-07-2025 3/3 civil dispute between the petitioner and the bank authorities. However, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent bank authorities to dispose of the representation of the petitioner i.e. Annexure-3 by passing an appropriate order on merits, in accordance with law.

5. With the above said observation, the Writ petition is disposed of.

6. Interlocutory Application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
