1. The grievance in the writ petition was with reference to an appointment as a Shiksha Mitra which the petitioner claimed.

2. When the Bihar Panchayat Elementary Teachers

Patna High Court L.P.A No.481 of 2021(5) dt.08-08-2023 2/2 (Employment and Service Conditions) Rules, 2006 came into force, the appointment of all Shiksha Mitras in the State stood lapsed. This is the authoritative pronouncement in Kalpana Rani vs. The State of Bihar & Ors. reported in 2014 (2) PLJR 665.

3. We find no reason to come to a different conclusion in the appeal.

4. The appeal stands dismissed.
