It is submitted on behalf of the Petitioner that he has retired from the post of Associate Professor, Department of Botany, S.R.K. Goenka College, Sitamarhi, a constituent Unit of B.R.A. Bihar University. However, it is contended that except pension nothing has been paid to the petitioner with respect to the post retiral benefit.
No counter affidavit has been filed in this matter though a copy was served upon the University on 3.2.2016. Accordingly, this writ application is being disposed of
Patna High Court CWJC No.2492 of 2016 dt.20-05-2016 2/2 with a direction to the respondent no. 4, the Registrar, BRA Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, to calculate the post retiral benefits under all the heads within a period of two months from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order and ensure payment of the admitted retiral dues within a further period of one month failing which the petitioner would be entitled for simple interest @ 10 % per annum upon the admitted unpaid amount to be calculated from the date the same became due till the date of final payment. In case some of the dues are not found payable to the petitioner then he would be required to pass a reasoned order and immediately communicate to the petitioner.
