JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 30-03-2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Raghopur P.S. Case No.47 of 2010, disclosing offences under Sections 384, 353, 307 and 505/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The First Information Report was instituted in the year 2010. The petitioner appears to have taken step for grant of anticipatory bail only in the year 2016. I do not find any reason to grant the petitioner the privilege of anticipatory bail after 6 years of institution of the First Information Report, as I do not find any

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.7593 of 2016 (2) dt.30-03-2016 explanation for approaching this Court so belatedly. Accordingly, this application for anticipatory bail is, hereby, rejected.

The petitioner, abovenamed, is directed to surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If he does so, his application for regular bail shall be considered by the learned court below on its own merit, without being prejudiced by rejection of present application for grant anticipatory bail.
