In the present case, the petitioner is claiming that he should be given promotion to the post of Accountant in R.K. College, Madhubani with effect from 01.02.2003 and give consequential benefits.
A counter affidavit has been filed by the University, whereby a notification has been brought to show that the relief which the petitioner is claiming in the present case has been redressed vide Notification dated 2.8.20016.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has pointed out that the benefit has been conferred from the year 2006 whereas

In such view of the matter, let the petitioner file a proper application before the Registrar, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, who will examine the case of the petitioner, if he finds that the petitioner is entitled for promotion from the year 2003 then he will pass order in accordance with law. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
