2. The petitioners have preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Hilsa P.S. Case No. 535 of 2024 dated 23.08.2024 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 80(2), 61(2) read with Section 3(5) of BNS and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioners and the co-accused persons are alleged to have killed the informant's daughter due to non-fulfillment of demand of Rs. 1 lakh and motorcycle as dowry.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35929 of 2025(2) dt.18-06-2025 2/2 that the petitioners are innocent and have falsely been implicated in this case. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioners The petitioner no.1 is the father-in-law and the petitioner no.2 is the mother-in-law of the deceased. The petitioners neither demanded any dowry nor tortured the deceased. The petitioners have no concern with the alleged offence. The petitioners have no criminal antecedent as stated in para-3 of the bail petition. The petitioners are in custody since 21.01.2025.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioners.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the period of custody, the petitioners above-named, are directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, Nalanda in connection with Hilsa P.S. Case No. 535 of 2024.

7. The application stands allowed.
