2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Jakkanpur P.S. Case No. 291/ 2022 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 149, 323, 504, 353 of the Indian Penal Code (for brevity 'IPC').

Petitioner is also accused in Jakkanpur P.S. Case No. 367 of 2021, which arises out of a dispute between the informant of that case and the petitioner over a land. In connection with that case, when the police went to arrest him, it is alleged that the petitioner has fled away and the same was facilitated by 10-12 persons, who obstructed the police party in his arrest.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the instant case is false and fabricated.

5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail. Petitioner is stated to have nine (9) criminal antecedents, as per disclosure made in paragraph No. 3 of the bail application.

Having regard to the submissions advanced by the petitioner's counsel this Court finds that the allegation is of obstructing the police party in effecting the petitioner's arrest along with 10-12 unknown persons. The allegation, when considered keeping in background nine antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to allow petitioner's prayer for grant of anticipatory bail.

7. Accordingly, the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail is rejected.
