The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bakhtiyarpur P. S. Case No. 123 of 2202 dated 06.05.2020, instituted for offences under Sections 304(B) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

No.37720 of 2020(2) dt.05-02-2021 2/3 It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that she is the mother-in-law of the deceased and only general and omnibus allegation has been levelled against her. In fact the petitioner had got no say in the affairs of the deceased or her husband even though she is the mother of the husband of the deceased. The accusation of demand of dowry and consequent torture has also been denied by the petitioner.

It has been submitted that the deceased perhaps took poison because of differences with her husband.

The husband of the deceased is in custody.

The petitioner is stated to be in custody since 08.05.2020.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation, relationship of the petitioner with the deceased and the period of custody, she is directed to be released on bail on her furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /-

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37720 of 2020(2) dt.05-02-2021 3/3 (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.C.J.M.-I, Barh, Patna, in connection with Bakhtiyarpur P. S. Case No. 123 of 2020.

The petition stands allowed.
