The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Paru P.S. Case No.122 of 2015 registered under Sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code as well as Sections 8 and 18 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Regard being had to the gravity of the offence and the advance stage of the trial, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner even though five witnesses examined during trial including the informant and the victim have turned hostile. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is rejected. The trial court is directed to take all possible steps to conclude the trial within six months from the date of
