JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 24-06-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. i) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus for commanding direction to respondents for sanction of arms license of B.L Gun in the name of petitioner contained in Annexure P/1 series to this writ application."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the application

Patna High Court CWJC No.8902 of 2024(2) dt.24-06-2024 2/2 filed by him for grant of arms license on 13.09.2023.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application has in fact been filed by the petitioner and is still pending adjudication, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court. 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna to dispose off the aforesaid application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license in case the same has been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
