JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 07-07-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the informant and learned APP for the State. The present application has been filed seeking quashing of the order dated 29.03.2017 passed by the learned S.D.J.M., Patna in Complaint Case No.2985(c) of 2016 whereby the cognizance under Section 498A of the I.P.C. read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act has been taken. The learned counsel for the petitioners are the fatherin-law and mother-in-law of the complainant. It is next submitted that the parties have compromised and as such, the

The learned counsel for the petitioners in support of the submission, produces the settlement deed (kept on record) dated 01.06.2022 entered into between the opposite party no.2 and her husband.

The learned counsel for the complainant does not dispute the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and submits that he has no objection in the event, if the present application is allowed.

In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, the order dated 29.03.2017 passed by the learned S.D.J.M., Patna in Complaint Case No.2985(c) of 2016, whereby the cognizance has been taken under Sections 498A of the I.P.C. and Section 4 of the D. P. Act is hereby quashed.
