The present petition has been filed seeking a direction upon the respondent no. 4 i.e. the Circle Officer, Sikandra, District-Jamui to initiate appropriate proceedings under the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956 against the encroachers and remove the encroachment made over Gairmazarua Aam land bearing Khata no. 393, Khesra no. 2971 and 1240, situated at Villlage-Kumar, Block- Sikandra in the District of Jamui.

At the outset, considering the provisions contained

Patna High Court CWJC No.159 of 2021(2) dt.23-03-2021 2/2 in Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty to approach the Circle Officer, Sikandra (Jamui) for needful.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of as not pressed, however with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Circle Officer, Sikandra (Jamui) for removal of the encroachment in question, whereupon the Circle Officer, Sikandra (Jamui) shall take appropriate steps in accordance with the provisions contained in the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956.
