The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Chanpatia P. S. Case No. 389 of 2020 dated 05.08.2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 379 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is said to have been apprehended by the villagers on the charge of committing theft of electric wire.

He is in custody since 06.08.2020.

No other case has been reported against him up till now.

Considering the period of custody and the

No.35827 of 2020(2) dt.20-01-2021 2/2 nature of accusation against the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah, West Champaran, in connection with Chanpatia P. S. Case No. 389 of 2020. The petition stands allowed.
