JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL ORDER 11-03-2016 It is the argument of Mr. Yogendra Mishra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that although the mistake as regarding the population of Kothia Panchayat falling in the District of Samastipur has been admitted by the Block Development Officer in his letter dated 10.2.2016 attributing it to a typographical error but yet no steps have been taken by the District Panchayat Raj Officer or the District Magistrate, Samastipur for correction of the population of the Ward Nos. 1 to 7 under the Kothia Panchayat.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the grievance raised in the backdrop of the admission of the Block Development Officer, Tajpur as contained in his letter dated 06.2.2016 present at Annexure-4, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Samastipur to consider the grievance of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders and considering that the Panchayat Elections are underway, an expeditious disposal would be appreciated.
