The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 127C2/2020 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Amendment Act, 2018.

117 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a vehicle in which the petitioner was travelling as a gratuitous passenger. The vehicle does not belong to the petitioner nor is he the driver of the said vehicle. He is in custody since 11.06.2020 and he was earlier made accused in a case of similar nature but in that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.33499 of 2020(2) dt.15-12-2020 2/2 case, he has been granted bail.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation and the period of custody of the petitioner, he is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge -II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Jamui, in connection with Excise Case No. 127C2/2020.
