2. The petitioner apprehends her arrest in connection with Bounsi P.S. Case No.11 of 2021 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 386 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
3. Allegedly, while the informant and other police personnel were on patrolling duty, they received secret information that certain persons were engaged in extorting illegal money from vehicles transporting sand and other minerals. Acting upon the said information, the police party proceeded to the place of occurrence, where the accused persons attempted to flee but were apprehended. Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.36009 of 2026(3) dt.23-07-2026 2/3 alleged that the accused persons disclosed a mobile number through which messages were sent to facilitate the passage of vehicles carrying illegally excavated sand and minerals.
4. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an illiterate lady and has no connection whatsoever with the present case. It is further contended that although the SIM card in question had originally been issued in the name of the petitioner, the same had been lost and was subsequently misused by certain miscreants or unscrupulous persons. The petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. Moreover, the petitioner is a lady aged about 64 years and bears fair antecedent.
5. On the other hand, learned Advocate for the State submitted that the petitioner appears to be the mastermind behind a racket engaged in extorting money from vehicles involved in the illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.

Having considered the submissions set forth by the learned Advocate for the respective parties and considering the nature of accusation, coupled with the fact that the petitioner is a lady having fair antecedent, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today,

No.36009 of 2026(3) dt.23-07-2026 3/3 on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banka in connection with Bounsi P.S. Case No.11 of 2021, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 482(2) of the BNSS, with further condition that one of the bailors shall be the own/close family members of the petitioner.
