2. The petitioner apprehends arrest in connection with Complaint Case No.964 of 2022 dated 17.06.2022, instituted under Sections 420, 465 of the Indian Penal Code.

The case of the complainant, in brief, is that the complainant and his maternal brother had given total rupees three lakhs fifty thousand to the petitioner for providing job in railways on 08.02.2006 but no job was provided to them. Thereafter, the complainant asked the accused to return his money and then the accused gave him oral assurance. Lastly, when the complainant went to the house of the accused to

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present complaint has been filed after sixteen years of the occurrence. The allegation against the petitioner is totally false and the petitioner a retired Army Officer and he used to live outside his village. During the Panchayat election in the year 2021-2022, the petitioner has supported the rival group of the complainant and due to this the complainant has lodged the present complaint after sixteen years from the date of occurrence which is totally unbelievable. It is further alleged that with regard to payment of rupees three lakhs fifty thousand, neither the mode of payment nor any bank statement has been annexed by the complainant to show that he had paid such amount to the accused. Lastly, it is submitted that the petitioner has no criminal antecedents.

5. Learned APP has opposed the prayer for bail.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, in the event of arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks from today, the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two
