The object of providing compassionate appointment is to provide immediate relief and succour to the family on the death of the bread earner. The death of the mother of the present appellant happened on 17.10.1994. 23 years have gone past. Besides the above fact, keeping in view the narration of events as well as recent view of the Hon'ble Apex Court that there has to be close proximity between
Patna High Court LPA No.1102 of 2014 dt.10-04-2017 2/2 the death and compassionate appointment, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge dated 5.6.2014. Effort on the part of the appellant is not to seek compassionate appointment but to seek appointment under compassionate head which object does not subsist due to passage of more than two decades.
Appeal has no merit. It is dismissed.
