It is contended on behalf of the petitioner that though an application was filed on 02.08.2013 before the District Magistrate, Patna for grant of arms licence, but no decision has been taken as yet.

Accordingly, I dispose of the writ application directing the District Magistrate, Patna to take a decision upon the application of the petitioner on its own merit and in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy

Patna High Court CWJC No.17044 of 2016 dt.20-12-2016 2 / 2 of this order, if the same has already not been taken. It is further made clear that since it is claimed by the petitioner that the application has been filed under Family Heirloom Policy, the Licensing Authority would also consider Rule 25 of the Arms Rules, 2016.
