JUSTICE RAMESH KUMAR DATTA ORAL ORDER 04-02-2015 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner prays for anticipatory bail in a police case registered under Sections 498A and 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code, in which the victim girl subsequently died. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner aged about 60 years is the mother-in-law of the victim girl and for the said reason she ought to be granted anticipatory bail.

From a perusal of the first information report, which was given by the victim girl herself, it appears that the husband of

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33810 of 2014 (2) dt.04-02-2015 the victim girl poured K.Oil on her and by lighting of the match the petitioner, who is the mother-in-law of the victim girl, set her on fire.
