This writ petition has been filed for quashing of order dated 01.07.2020 passed in Stamp Appeal Case No. 3 of 2018-19 whereby the same has been dropped on the ground that petitioner remained absent for 5 to 6 dates and has not deposited the amount. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that due to Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, petitioner could not appear and deposit the amount in time.

Petitioner is directed to appear before respondent no. 2 (Divisional Commissioner, Bhagalpur Division, Bhagalpur) on 26th February, 2021 with his lawyer. In the event of his appearance on the aforesaid date, case will be heard on merit and will be decided by respondent authority in accordance with law.
