The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1.That this is the writ petition being filed before this Hon'ble High Court on behalf of the aforesaid petitioner for issuance of a writ in the nature of 'Mandamus' commanding and directing the state respondents to appoint the petitioner on the appropriate post on the compassionate ground, who has applied for the same on account of her mother namely Late Heera Devi working on the post of constable being 475 in the District Force of Madhepura, died in harness on 10.08.2018; and further prayer of the petitioner herein above is to command and direct the state

Patna High Court CWJC No.14736 of 2021(2) dt.20-12-2023 2/2 respondents No.3 to dispose off the application for compassionate ground appointment pending before him from a pretty long time without any final decision thereon."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-State has submitted by referring to paragraph no.5 of the counter affidavit filed in the present case that during the pendency of the present writ petition, the petitioner has already been appointed on the post of Constable, on compassionate ground, hence the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

3. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
