JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 25-02-2019 The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition against the punishment of black-mark to him as also the order passed in appeal refusing to interfere with the order of punishment.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, after some arguments, seeks permission to withdraw this petition

Patna High Court CWJC No.17709 of 2018 dt.25-02-2019 2/2 only to enable the petitioner to make effective representation before the concerned authority to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion, in case the punishment meted out to him comes in the way of his being considered for any promotional post.

3. The aforesaid observation has been given only on the basis of the statement made by the petitioner that in accordance with the police manual, the impact of a blackmark having been given for any lapse on the part of a police officer is effective only for a period of six months.

4. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
