Petitioners seek bail in Mohammadpur P.S. Case No.158 of 2020 registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The police intercepted a Bolero vehicle bearing registration no.BR30J1484 and recovered 193 litres of foreign liquor of different brands. The police apprehended the accused persons, who disclosed their names as Munna Singh (driver of the vehicle) and Dharmendra Kumar.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have got no criminal antecedent and this is the first case in which the petitioners have been made accused and they

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.34309 of 2020(2) dt.05-01-2021 2/2 are in custody since 24.07.2020. The petitioners have already remained in jail for more than five months.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, the petitioners named above are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/-(rupees ten thousand) each with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.D.J.-II, Gopalganj in connection with Mohammadpur P.S. Case No.158 of 2020.
