Students of Patna University. They were appearing for 'paper 7 a (Methodology)' Examination, at Patna College Examination Centre, on 19.05.2018. On the ground of irregularities and malpractices having been adopted by the examinees appearing in the examination in a particular examination hall, not only the

Patna High Court CWJC No.12039 of 2018(6) dt.20-08-2018 2/2 examination of the examinees of the said examination hall has been cancelled, they have been awarded 'Zero' marks in the said paper; with the issuance of letter No. 1448 dated 08.06.2018, which decision of the University is being assailed in the present writ application.

From the pleadings on record, it appears that there were altogether 97 examinees affected by such decision of the University.

During the pendency of the writ application, it appears that the University has now taken a decision to hold special examination of the said paper for all those 97 examinees including these petitioners. A supplementary counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the University bringing on record the schedule of the said special examination to be held on 07.09.2018.

Mrs. Renuka Sharma, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners states that in view of the subsequent decision of the University, the grievance of the petitioners stands redressed.

This application is accordingly disposed of.
